Hi Guys here is September’s newsletter info for U8’s.
We have had an up and down start to the season with commendable performances from every player at different times. We began the season on Sept 2nd playing at home against Rossgarth and won 8-0. Goal scorers Ryan Meaney 4, George Adams 2, Jack Williamson 1 and Sam ( The Saminator) Powell 1. Man of the match was Ryan.

Then we had the Canford Magna Tournament where we had some some strong performances particularly from George Adams who scored 4, Max Purton 2, Sam Powell 1, Ryan Meaney 5.

Sept 9th we were away to Moordown Athletic and the boys had a very tough game. In the 1st half they were losing 2-0 but they fought back with a goal from Max Purton and another from Ryan Meaney to go into half time 2-2. The boys really showed a lot of spirit in the second half with a great performance from Snowey (Jack White) who fought for everything and won MOM and a great goal from Jack Williamson and another from Ryan Meaney to seal the match 4-2.

Sept. 16th was against Branksome Utd at home and the first half we struggled and were 0-4 down in the 1st half, however after a good pep talk, the boys really fought back with outstanding performances from Ben Balance (MOM), Harry Eaton and a goal from Snowey (Jack White).

Sept. 23rd was against Greenfields, at the end of the 1st half we were down 0-4 down which could have been a lot worse except for some great goalkeeping from Harry Eaton. We were also playing the ref, who ignored 4 blatant fouls and a clear handball (but then he was Greenfields coach so it’s understandable?) Anyway, we were against a good team and against all the odds there were some great fighting performances particularly from Tom (the wall) Hemmington and Jack Clark.
